Larkin Divine
Recruit Profile
Relentless competitor, great communicator, huge frame (6'5" at 16, 77" wingspan), high lax IQ, strong, quick laser clears just as important as the save. Selfless player - team first.
I love this sport and I love playing goalie. First time I stepped in cage was when I was 8 and I knew it was my position, period. As much as making the save, I love the quick clear to the sprinting middie and opening up the fast break for a two goal turnaround. I attended The Goaliesmith Experience in August 2019 and they said, "You clearly positioned yourself as one of the top 2022 goalies in the country." It was at TGE that I re-learned how to communicate on the field and turned this into one of my greatest strengths.
In school I am passionate about science, geography, history and art. I am a talented artist and both my freshman year and sophomore years, my art submissions to the Texas statewide VASE competition earned a gold medal at the state level and a Scholastic Gold Key. At the national level, I earned a silver medal, awarded to less than 1% of almost 300,000 entries. I am picking up fencing, boxing and table tennis to work on footwork, agility and speed during COVID-19 shelter in place. Right now my current challenge is moving from the 44 inch to the 50 inch plyobox jump - almost there!
