Lauren Johns
Recruit Profile
Hardworking, smart, coachable team player, who is always excited to play and work to improve in net.
I started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade. In 5th grade, the coaches were looking for a goalie for the team. I tried out for the position and have been in net ever since.
While playing for the township club teams, my teammates voted me defensive MVP. I started my freshman year as a swing player for varsity. After three games into the season, I won the starting goalie position. I made the Delco Stat leader list with 120 saves and honorable mention for the High School Honors All-Central League.
I started every varsity game my sophomore year and ended the season with 173 saves. Again, I received honorable mention for the High School Honors All-Central League. This summer I played for one of the Philly teams at the Women’s National Tournament.
As the starting varsity goalie my Junior year, I made 201 saves and was named second team for High School Honors All-Central team. I was awarded defensive MVP for my 2019 season and made captain for season 2020.
Off the field, I am a very serious student. I challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes. My goal is always to get straight A'’s. I enjoy volunteering at school and in my community. At school, I participate in Student Senate, Best Buddies, the Red Cross Blood Drive and photography club. I am the assistant coach for the 3/4 grade township lacrosse teams and U10 girls soccer team.
I love playing lacrosse! I love the camaraderie with my teammates and being able to help the team be successful. I am self-motivated and will attend every camp and clinic that I can in order to improve my game. I also work with a goalie coach year round. My dream is to someday play lacrosse in college and I will continue to work hard on and off the field to make my dream a reality.

Lauren has unmatched drive and determination to be the best goalie she can be. She was the starting varsity goalie, stopping goals from the top scorers in the Central League. She has a great attitude, and as a freshman was already a leader on the team.

I have been coaching Lauren for over 3 years. We recently began working 1:1 in the last 2 years. Lauren is one of the most hardworking, coachable, and dedicated players that I have ever met. She has the talent and drive to be a TOP goalie in the NCAA.
