Recruit Profile
Very coachable, vocal, focused, aggressive, competitive, and positive attitude

I have always been a hard working athlete and student. I put 100% in everything that I do. I began playing lacrosse at 5 years old. I immediately knew lacrosse was for me when I picked up a stick for the first time. It was not until 3rd grade that I began playing goalie. After one game, I decided it was the position for me. I think the amount of independence you have as a goalie with still having the support of a team is what drew me to this position.

I have now been playing as a goalie for 7 years. I made varsity lacrosse as a freshman this past year as well as varsity tennis. As a goalie I pride myself in my communication skills and ability to direct the defense, my clears, my aggressiveness, and my attitude. I have experienced both failure and success while playing lacrosse and what sets me apart from everyone else is that I've always held a positive attitude. As a goalie, it is very easy to let failure affect how you play whether its a bad clear or the amount of goals you let it. What sets me apart from other players is that I don't let failure control me. I use failure as motivation to be successful.

Other than lacrosse, I grew up playing multiple sports such as swimming, ice hockey, and tennis. Today, I play both lacrosse and tennis at a highly competitive level. Although I am an athlete, I would consider myself as a very well-rounded person. I participate in the arts at my school. I am a member of the Upper School Chorus as well as a member of the Chamber A cappella chorus. At school I participate in the Think Pink Club as well as tour guides and youngdems.

My academic interests include Honors US/European history, math, and science. In college, I would like to further my interests by participating in political science, pre-law, and history. Youngdems has influenced me to become a political and social injustice activist within my school and outside community.

This is the third year that I have had the pleasure of working with Lily. Lily is a hard worker with a great 'I can!' attitude. Lily is a smart, quick, aggressive and naturally athletic goalkeeper. Lily continues to improve and has become a very good goalie in all aspects of play. She is well respected by her teammates and she does a great job of providing defensive leadership. Excellent quickness and hand-eye coordination help Lily make lots of saves. The strongest aspect of Lily's game is her ability to clear the ball. She is very good at scanning the field, quickly finding an open player and taking advantage of her accurate passing ability to get the ball down field. Lily is a smart player with very good stick skills. She keeps her head up and protects the ball well when she is out of the goal circle. Lily's teammates rely on her abilities as a vocal and reliable communicator to keep things running smoothly on the defensive end of the field. I am confident that Lily has a lot to offer to any competitive lacrosse team.
