Lily Kutz
Recruit Profile
Exceptionally motivated, quick, strong, and aggressive team player that never gives up - hardworking and driven student/athlete on and off the field
I have grown up as a multi-sport athlete. Lacrosse and alpine ski racing are my favorites. I have 4 state medals in alpine ski racing, and I qualified as a member of the State Team. Suffering a knee/leg injury at an Alpine Ski Racing State Championship, I underwent surgery that put me out for my 7th grade lacrosse season. My determination through a 9 month rehabilitation process put me back on the mountain in December and back on the lacrosse field that spring. Throughout my injury/recovery process, I came out stronger. This experience taught me how to develop a steady physical exercise routine, which proved beneficial in my lacrosse and ski seasons there after. I earned a varsity position on my high school lacrosse team for Wyoming Sem freshman year. We ended that season as repeat district champions. I love to play midfield because it allows me to play both sides of the field. I am an athletic player, quick and strong, with solid stick skills and dodging for both hands. My current club teams are NEPA Rattlers out of Scranton PA and Triple Threat Elite out of Basking Ridge NJ. I am currently taking AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP United States History, Spanish Honors, and Junior Year english elective courses. I was chosen as a member of Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre, which is a leadership development program for high school juniors. It provides training techniques to advance leadership skills, while increasing community awareness and civic responsibility for positive change in our community. I was also selected into the Climate Science and Sustainability Concentration, which provides the framework for students to tailor a focused academic and experiential study centered around the scientific, global, atmospheric, economic, and societal implications of climate change.

Just wanted to take a second and reach out to say that Lily is a WORKHORSE. Meaning that she consistently just work hard in every winter league game that I am honored to coach her in. Also, she is a great listener. When I tell her something to help her game, she takes it and tries her best to execute it. Defensively her 1v1 defense is strong. In transition or on a clear she is confident in carrying up the ball is noticeable. Overall, she hustles to everything and just does the best she can every game and that can not be taught. So, thank you for coming to every game ready to play and make yourself and your teammates better.

Freshman year, Lilu entered our program with raw natural ability but not much lacrosse experience.. Through hard work and discipline, she moved into our starting lineup. She fights to the end, has excellent footwork, strength and smarts. Often our "face guard" defender. And, she is SO coachable.

I am Lily’s club coach for NEPA Rattlers. Lily is an extremely determined individual and an aggressive/ scrappy athlete. She will fight for every 50/50 ball and will never give up. Any college would be lucky to have Lily on their roster.
