Lindsey Wettstein
Recruit Profile
Extremely coachable, fast hands, supportive of teammates no matter what the score, always willing to step up, sports mindfulness trained to let hand eye coordination take over. 2021 AU Futures
I am a Senior at South Side High School in Rockville Centre, NY. I had a great season during my Freshman year as the starting JV Goalie making almost 300 saves and am looking forward to resuming in Spring 2021 on Varsity. I also play for the Long Island Jesters 2022 Team. Im also looking forward to playing on the 2021 Athletes Unlimited Futures National Development Team this summer! I have been trained in Sports Mindfulness since 3rd grade. This has helped me become a calm, focused goalie, who is supportive of my teammates no matter what the score is and I was taught not to anticipate where the ball is going and let my hand eye coordination take over. This helps me have a pretty high save percentage. All my coaches say I am extremely coachable & hard working. Outside of lacrosse, I am very involved in Play Production, Art, Community Service and received the "Unsung Hero Award" in 2020 and recently in 2021 again for Theatre Design/Arts which is the major I am looking to study in college.

Lindsey has strong work ethic and competitive nature. Very coachable with a desire to improve everyday. I would highly recommend Lindsey to play at the next level. She immediately made our team better, by solidifying the defense and being a wall in games. She pushed her team mates to improve their offensive skills by not giving up the easy goals in practice, they had to earn it if they wanted to score. I coached girls lacrosse for 25 years in New York at the High School and college level, with a number of All-Conference or All-County award winning goalies. While I was Lindsey's JV coach, I would put her in the Top 5 goalies I have coached over that time.
