Lucy Gomez
Recruit Profile
Multi-sport, hard-working scholar athlete; I come to the field with a good attitude and always looking to improve my game. I’m a good listener and leader.
I play lacrosse for school and club and started playing when I was 7. I think starting off as attack gave me a good feel for defending the goal and understanding offensive strategy. During the year, I am an alpine ski racer on the Jiminy Peak race team (since 2011) and a volleyball/soccer player in the Fall. Due to COVID, and the cancellation of the volleyball 2020 fall season, I turned to soccer to keep active, coming to the field with 8 years of recreational experience. I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society (2020 and 2021), Student Counsel (served as Class President 2019-2020) and Key Club (2020). I volunteer at HOPE soup kitchen in New Rochelle, NY and I’m a member of the Warm Hands/Warm Hearts Club that focuses on providing service to our school’s surrounding community. My Honors classes are in English, Chemistry, and Italian. I received Most Improved Player award in 8th grade playing attack/midfield and taking the draw on the JV lacrosse team. Additionally, I received the scholar athlete award from my ski team at the end of the 2019 - 2020 season. I was selected to participate in UA150 in 2021, played on the NY Downstate team at the American Select 2021 tournament (reached quarterfinals), and was named co-captain for my HS Varsity lacrosse team 2022 season.
