Bowers was a Member of the 87-91 Penn State Women's Lacrosse Team,1989 National Champions. Currently, she is a National Elite official and has been officiating for over 27 years including DI tournaments and post season NCAA play. Bowers was inducted into the PA Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2017. She has been on the Ultimate coaching staff since 2015 and has coached various youth sports over the past 27 years.
