I am not afraid to get in the play and be aggressive.
I have high lax IQ and work well in both team and individual defense. I started out as a defender and goalie, now I play midfield, where I apply my low-defense leadership skills to the whole field. My experience as a defender makes me a strong force on the redefend. Im always open to learning skills and concepts and applying them. Off the field, I am constantly working on the fundamentals that make a well-rounded player.
Before fully committing to lacrosse, I was on a dive team, gymnastics team and I studied Tae Kwan Do. There, I earned a black belt, competed in tournaments, and was an assistant instructor where I learned to be vocal in a way that motivates people. Lacrosse combines my favorite elements of each of those sports.
I volunteer at the Hope Cafe for City Team in Chester, where I cook meals that provide people with a restaurant experience where they can sit down at a nice table and choose what they want to order for free.
I attend Strath Haven High School, where I am enrolled in all honors and AP classes I am very involved with my school. I am on the student council, the sports editor for the yearbook, a contributor for the literary magazine, and am on the debate team. The debate team has helped me remain composed in tense situations, a skill I use on the field.
I am a three-sport student-athlete. For field hockey, I was the starting varsity goalie. Due to COVID, my winter track team has had practice outside. I have discovered that I love running in the cold. In my freshman year, before the season was suspended due to COVID, I earned a varsity spot on the lacrosse team. In the off-season, I played for 2 indoor league teams and woke up at 5 am to train before school. I also played goalie for a varsity boys box lacrosse team before switching to play box for Phila Girls this season.
My community has given me strong values. It's why I work hard to ensure the same strong values are passed down. I am dauntless on and off the field, never backing down from a challenge. I hope to attend a school where I can be involved and prepare for the future.

MacKenzie Murray is a lacrosse player that is having an extension of the coaching staff k on n the field and on the sideline if she is not on the field. I Coach and train players on all levels and she truly is a treasure for any line up. She strengthens a Defensive unit, she adds an element of opportunities on the Attack side of the field with her composure and sheer determination to not be denied. She is an asset for any team on every level. MacKenzie has a great Lacrosse IQ to go along with her ability to implement and be successful.

Mackenzie Murray has a great lacrosse IQ and is very committed to the sport. She can play anywhere from goalie to low attack and can be counted on to hustle and work hard. On attack she has an excellent shot and likes to work from behind the goal cage. She will redefend work hard to get the ball back when there is a turnover. As a low defender Mack can be counted on to be physical and is smart about how to use her body. Mack commands respect and leads easily.

Mackenzie Murray #29 Utility player she can play all over the field including Goalie. Fearless a true competitor her strengths are crashing, lateral slides plays physical defense, communicator and uses her body effectively clearing, ground balls. Coachable and driven Mack is a leader on the field and respected by teammates.
