Towards the end of fourth grade, I began to play lacrosse and instantly fell in love with the sport. I had been a swimmer all my life and decided that I should try a new sport during my off season. I picked up a lacrosse stick and have played ever since. Ironically, I started as a middie and swore to my team mates that I would try any position in any sport, but not a lacrosse goalie. However, after years of practice, I realized that I had what it took to be a lacrosse goalie and finally decided to try the position out. I am 5'9" and have great communication and stick skills from being a middie. I have very quick feet from field play and was determined to use my skills in the cage. It took a lot of hard work to become a goalie with less than a year until High School, but I was willing to put in the extra hours with my coaches and team mates. I have now been a lacrosse goalie for less than two years and have made great strides in my technique as well as become one of my High School's varsity goalies. I play goalie for my Manheim Township High School varsity lacrosse team as well as my varsity swim and field hockey team. I am a hardworking student during the day and uphold a 4.11 GPA. During my high school years thus far, I have been enrolled in my school's interact club, a volunteer club that helps with our community, in order to give back.
