Madeline Johnson
Recruit Profile
Madeline is a natural leader. She is an insane aggressive multi-sport athlete. Her hustle and coachability brings greatness to her game. The strongest Lacrosse IQ and a teammate everyone loves.
I have loved lacrosse since I began playing when I was 7 years old. Growing up, being a multi-sport athlete, playing both soccer and basketball, what drew me the most to lacrosse was the atmosphere and heart around the sport. I have great drive for the game, and play extremely aggressively. I have three younger brothers, and competition in our household has always been present. Growing up in this environment, I have become a competitive person in many ways, and very clear in sports. I put my all into everything I do and never like things to be done only halfway. I believe in pushing both myself and encouraging my teammates, to perform at our best ability, and to do so as a team. I am a very big team player and I think it is super important to have a great relationship with my teammates. I am a dominate left, but I have grown to become extremely comfortable with both my hands. I find great importance in communication, and have been a very vocal player and teammate both on and off the field. I do not give up on things, and it has become very hard for me to allow myself to fail at things. I always try my hardest and leave everything I have out on the field. I believe in practice makes things perfect, and that you only will get what you put in. My determination for success and aggressiveness to do what it takes to win, has pushed me to become a hardworking and extremely hustling player. My belief in doing what you love, allowance to have fun while doing so, has grown for me to love playing lacrosse and the sport itself, as well as the people.
I have received the Monmouth University Women in Sports Award as well as my Bronze Award in Girl Scouts. I graduated elementary school as Student Achiever of the Year and Blazer and Beyond. I love school and I am currently taking Honors U.S. History, Honors Pre-Calc, Honors Spanish III, Honors Chemistry, AP Microeconomics, AP Microeconomics, and AP Psychology. I have a need for academic validation, and take pride in my determination in succeeding in the classroom. I participate in Girl Scouts, the Academy of Finance, Squan-a-thon, and Key Club. In participating in these things and many others, I have gotten over 100 hours of community service.
