Madison Averno
Recruit Profile
Persistent, coachable multi-sport athlete, competitive, team player, diligent, attentive, motivated and a strong leader on the field.
I started playing lacrosse at the age of 10. Before falling in love with lacrosse, I also played club soccer from 2nd-9th grade and basketball from 5th-8th grade. I am a strong midfielder, where I can take the draw and play on the circle. I am confident in both my right and left hand, and I play wherever my coaches need me. I currently go to Mount de Sales Academy, where I played JV soccer freshmen and sophomore year and JV lacrosse freshmen year. Unfortunately, I did not get to try out for lacrosse sophomore year because I tore my ACL and meniscus, causing me to have surgery in November. After many months spent in physical therapy, I was able to be back on the field by this past June. While being in physical therapy, I focused on my grades more than ever. I made first honors and was excepted into the National Honors Society. I am currently taking AP Psychology, Honors Spanish, and Honors History. Prior to the pandemic, I volunteered at a nursing home close to my school.

Strength and determination. Quick latterly, but at her best head on or breaking a double. She is a powerful draw option, a ground ball magnet, and possess a high lax IQ.
