I started playing lacrosse when I was 11. I had been playing basketball and soccer since I was 5 and took up lacrosse at the urging of a local coach who thought my athleticism and my speed would be a good fit for this sport. I immediately fell in love with the speed and intensity of the game and pride myself on my defensive skills. I have always been a defensively-minded athlete in every sport that I play. I enjoy the adrenaline rush of being the person who stands between the attacker and the goal. I always give 100% of effort at every practice and during each minute of every game. I am the loudest player on the field, whether by directing the defense or by encouraging/cheering on my teammates. One of the things I am most proud of is the description given about me by all of the coaches I play for: coachable. I will always do what is asked of me and what is best for the team.
I have been playing on Varsity for my 9th and 10th grade seasons, starting every game since the beginning of freshman year (32/36 games). I earned All-League honorable mention freshman year. I earned All-Section honorable mention, 2nd Team All-County and All-League sophomore year.
I played JV soccer during the fall of freshman and sophomore year (captain) and played JV basketball freshman year and Varsity basketball sophomore year.
I am part of the honors program at my high school and I am a mentor, peer-tutor and school ambassador. I am very active in community service activities such as Buddy Ball and volunteer with a local youth lacrosse league during the spring and summer months.
