Recruit Profile
Strength & Grace under pressure. Very coachable. High IQ & EQ. Loves the grind and putting in the work.

I started playing lacrosse in third grade because of my dad. I got my first stick a year or two before that, and the second it was offered, I begged to start playing. My dad played Division 1 lacrosse and football at Bucknell, and growing up, I wanted to be just like him. Even though he plays primarily as a midfielder, I was drawn to the goalkeeping position as soon as I tried it out. I would have to beg my dad and the other coaches of my third grade rec team to let me play goal, as they forced begrudged nine-year-olds to try the position. By fourth grade, I was playing half the time in the goal and the other half on the field, and by fifth grade, I was finally allowed to fully commit to being a goalie.

At RHS, I am an all honors student, and am a part of the Ridgewood Academy for Health Professions, or RAHP; a three-year academic academy with medically-centered science and english curriculums. Through RAHP, I am currently enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology Honors and AP Seminar. I have a 3.5 GPA, and scored a 1320 on my PSAT. The things covered in this program are things I have been passionate about for as long as I can remember. I hope to continue to study biology in college so that I can continue focusing on academic subjects that I love.

In school, I am also a part of both curricular and extracurricular bands. I have been playing the trombone for seven years. I have participated in the middle level of three curricular bands for all three years of high school, as well as jazz bands in middle and high school, and brass ensemble freshman and junior year.

Another thing I am passionate about is dance. I did twelve years of ballet at the same studio, from when I was two years old up through middle school. I am no longer doing ballet, but I have been an active member of Ridgewood High Schools dance team all three years of high school.

I have always loved the thrill of performing, whether it is through dance, music, or sports. Being in the spotlight, both physically and metaphorically, drives me to perform my best and I am able to feed off of the adrenaline rush that comes with it.

All these activities that make up who I have become have another thing in common too. They all require the skill to be able to work cohesively with people around you. Team skills are essential to move in unison and in harmony across the floor in dance, play individual yet complex parts that come together to make beautiful music in a band, and direct and communicate a sound defense, whether it's fast and efficient slides and crashes or the flow of a solid zone defense on the field. Everything I have done with my life to this point has taught me how to work well with others and be a team player, and I hope to bring that part of myself into your team!

Maggie is a great student athlete who is hyper-focused and driven to get better. I've had the pleasure to see her grow as a goalie and person. Her work ethic and inquisitive nature have given her the tools necessary to be successful at the next level. Maggie will be an impact player at the next level wherever she lands, she is athletic and understands how to read a play/identify shooter tendencies and communicate effectively with those on defense around her. Maggie has shown a comfortability in and out of the crease which makes her a threat to initiate offense. Maggie has the innate ability to stay calm in high pressure situations and make in game adjustments. Last but not least she is a competitor in practice and in games!

Maggie is an extremely hard worker- willing to make changes to her game. She is always looking on ways to improve and taking what she learns to her own game. She continues to grow as a goalie every time she steps out on the field to compete. Her hand speed is extremely quick and has the ability to read the play before it happens.

Maggie has a natural ability between the pipes. She is quick, active and reads the offense well in front of her. She has both good hands and feet and is a strong leader for her defense in front of her. She is the type of goalie that allows a defense to take more risks because she can make a lot of stops. She is quick to clear, find her outlets to catch a teammate on the run to start the offensive push and she isn't afraid to run out of the crease to be an option in the clear.
