During the summer of 2021 I had the pleasure of coaching the Under Armour All-American Philly Command team. The tryouts were quite impressive with 150 very talented players vying for a position. Margot Johnson was one of the players who stood out at the tryout. As a member of the Philly team, Margot quickly showed her strong commitment to the team and to the game of lacrosse. She gives 100% effort, all the time. Margot is a strong defender with quick feet, great speed, strong stick skills, and very good game sense. She was a leader on our team, both on and off the field. And Margot plays with joy; she truly loves the game and the she loved the whole UAAA experience. We really enjoyed having Margot on our team this summer.

Margot brings more than just talant to the field every time she steps out there. Her enthusiasm and love for the game translates into her play. She is always going 100% from start to finish. Margot is a defender who makes a statement. Someone who communicates effectively, hustles, is very active on slides and is not afraid to take risks. Margot takes criticism very well and keeps reat relationships with her teamates.

Margot is fast, aggressive and enjoys the challenge of limiting her opponents scoring opportunities. She is a physical and feisty player who challenges for every ground ball. Margot has the tools to be a lock down defensive player at the next level. I'm happy to speak with you further about Margot!

I'm pleased to write in support of Margot, who I had the pleasure to coach as a member of Team Philly in the Command Division at the Under Armour All-American Games earlier this summer. She stood out in tryouts involving 150 players; several evaluators and I identified her as a "lock" at the outset. Based on what I observed in tryouts, five practices and five games at the event itself, she plays with controlled abandon and lacrosse acumen, an impressive combination. She is notably fast in transition and can clear the ball with her legs in dramatic fashion if she can't find an open teammate up the field. She has a nose for the goal and can turn defense into offense in short order. On defense, she excels at both individual and team play. Margot plays with a quiet mind but dials-in and makes it personal to thwart attackers in 1v1 situations. Off-ball, she plays with her stick up and is quick to pinch, slide or double if the situation requires. She is aggressive, physical, confident and personable, traits that cannot be taught and which bode very well for continued success on the field.

Margot is new to our program and has already made an immediate impact. She is a great defender and is all in all of the time. She is tough, feisty, aggressive, smart and a great communicator. When she is in midfield transition she is reliable with the ball and is someone to be concerned about. We are excited to have her a part of the Ultimate program as she represents all that you want in a great teammate.

Margot plays 110% all game and all practice. She always plays aggressive, has intense slides, and excellent 1v1 defense. She is always available in the midfield during transition and a threat when on attack. She continues to push our team on and off the field. Coachable, disciplined, and a dedicated teammate; an ideal player. Margot is involved in HS clubs, gives back to her community, and has high academics.
