Mariana Lopez-Ona
Recruit Profile
Exhibits strong field vision and high lax IQ, good two-way middie, skilled at draw control, finishes well with both hands, possesses great speed.
Lacrosse is part of me. Everyone in my family plays, and we've played together for as long as I can remember. As the youngest, I learned a great deal from my older brother and sister who led their teams in scoring and were All Conference, All State and All Americans. I set freshman scoring records at my high school and was in NJ's Top 20 in goals and points my sophomore year because I can go both left and right (from years of being pushed to use both hands while playing in the yard). I also won 154 draw controls my sophomore year, as I worked a lot on the draw with my older sister who was Penn's primary draw player. Also helping me is my field hockey and track experience. Indoor Track really improved my speed and strength as I ran the 200 and 400 where I built strength and endurance.

David Schlesinger
Mariana is an exceptionally talented young player. She can dominate her opponent in the offensive or defensive zones and on the draw. She is tall, very fast, incredibly athletic, remarkably skilled, and very very smart! I've had the honor of coaching many great players; Mariana is one of the BEST!
Sara Doran
Mariana's natural athleticism combined with her explosive style of play and phenomenal stick skills make her stand out. She dominates the draw controls and while she has one of the most accurate and strong shots out there, she also knows when to pass the ball. Exceptional talent.
