I started playing lacrosse in third grade, consistently playing midfield and attack. I am the leading scorer for most all of my club years. I have very strong communication skills with my teammates, sharing strategies and helping to read the other teams plays. I am comfortable playing and shooting with both hands. A technique I continue to develop is draw control, from foot placement, quick wrists, or push and pulls for max control. I am confident on the draw, I am able to get the ball to travel in any direction to get to my teammates on the circle or to reach myself, all to gain possession. I work hard to improve my game, I am respectful and coachable. I am comfortable being a leader as well as a team player. I play field hockey, all Varsity, I was the sole scoring freshman and was honored to receive the Sportsmanship Award this year. I am excited to be chosen as Captain for NHHS field hockey.
I volunteer at Yale New Haven Hospital on the nursing unit, at my High School daycare and love helping our Unified Sports teams. I referee for youth games and this year I coached a K-2 team for my towns youth program. It was a great experience! I have assisted in coaching middle school lacrosse and help with a clinic that my town runs to introduce the sport of lacrosse. Helping our youth program to develop strong skills, being a role model and building enthusiasm is important to me. I have well over 100 community service hours so far. I am a consistent, conscientious honor student who is responsible, motivated and likes to succeed.
