Mark Rice began in 2009 as a member of the St. John Fisher College men’s lacrosse coaching staff.

Rice, who mentors Fisher's attack, came to Fisher from Penfield High School, where he coached the lacrosse and football teams from 1976 until his retirement in 2008. Rice amassed over 350 career wins, won four Sectional Championships ('92,'93,'00,'06) and two Regional Championships ('92,'93) during his tenure.

Following a standout career as a player at Fairport High School, Rice went on to play four years of varsity lacrosse at Ashland University (NCAA Division II), and was selected to play in the Midwest College All-Star Game following his senior season.

Rice was inducted into both the Rochester Chapter US Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Penfield Hall of Fame.

Rice and his wife Cindy currently reside in Fairport. They are the proud parents of four children: daughter Ashley and sons Clay, Trevor and Connor.
