Mary Scally
Recruit Profile
I am coachable, competitive, determined, and focused
I started playing lacrosse in 7th grade, and ever since then, I have been so passionate about the sport. When becoming a goalie, I knew that I would have to work hard to be the best goalie I can be and make every practice count. My lacrosse IQ has gotten strong throughout the years of playing; my movement in the cage, whether it is stepping to the ball or moving around the crease, has become quicker, and my awareness in the net has also improved. As a goalie, there is no better feeling than making big saves or winning big games! During my first year of high school, I was able to play my soccer and basketball season, and played both sports on Junior Varsity, and was able to play fall ball for lacrosse. During my time off the field, I always find ways to improve my game, whether it is using the ladder to improve my footwork, jumping rope, improving my lax IQ, or even having teammates shoot on me. I am very determined to be the best goalie that I can be.
