I have been playing lacrosse since I was a freshman in High school (15 years old). I immediately fell in love with the sport and really want to continue throughout college. I started off playing every position, but I have focused on being defense and sometimes attack. Since I started later than most girls my age I am always looking to improve and expand my skills every time I hit the field. My left hand is my dominant hand but my right is getting there with lots of practice. I'm very confident with playing Defense, checking, and reading passes. This past season I played on varsity as mainly attack and goalie, when needed. I have also been playing Hockey and Soccer since i was in kindergarten. I love working out and finding other ways to help benefit my performance and health. Education is very important to me and I'm very interested in the medical field and Dental field. For my senior year I will be taking University of Minnesota Anatomy, AP Spanish 4, Advanced Analysis and Physics, and Spectrum (English, Religion, and Social Studies). I'm also apart of a scholarship called the Flaherty Family Foundation, which encourages me to do better in and outside of school. I love and enjoy helping people in the community. In the past, I have volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, I've made Valentine's Day cards for elderly people in the nursing homes, with a group I made tie blankets and survival bags for homeless people in our community, I've gathered things to help support battered women with children that don't have enough money for certain products, I've also volunteered at a thrift store and help put away clothes and other items, and I've picked a family to help and buy Christmas presents for the parents that weren't able to buy any.
