Simply put, McClaine is a special player that has shown one of the strongest work ethics I have witnessed in a HS athlete. He has been playing the game for some time and has played multiple different positions at a high level (Mid, FO, Goalie, LSM). He has excelled at each position because of his elite athletic ability but also his ultra competitiveness and willingness to invest time into learning each position. He is a student of the game who is very coachable and learns very quickly. Since his limited time in the LSM position he has excelled faster than any player I have seen when changing a position. He has ability to match feet with any player he goes against with his athleticism while also having the IQ of how to use his stick to throw proper checks and create turnovers. McClaine can then turn a groundball into quick transition with his offensive IQ and decision making that comes from years of playing offensive midfield. This is the type of player you want showing up to practice everyday. Hardest worker, humble and never settles for his current success. He will be a force at the next level.

McClaine is a special player with an unmatched work ethic when it comes to lacrosse. He brings a great deal of experience and IQ to his LSM/D position from playing multiple positions growing up (A, M, FO, G). McClaine is someone who is commonly the first one on the field for HS practices, and is always the last one off. He is a relentlessly hard worker who truly loves lacrosse and gives the game everything he has each and every time he is out on the field. He can do it all on the field with a pole in his hand from playing close defense or long stick middie, to taking face-offs efficiently, pushing the ball in transition to scoring goals, or being a ground ball vacuum. It has been a treat to coach and work with McClaine thus far, and I am beyond excited to see where he will take his talents moving forward. He is no doubt going to make a college coach incredibly happy when he commits to a school, while at the same time breaking many coaches hearts who will have to game plan and play against him for four years! McClaine is a STUD!
