Megan Klingenberg
Recruit Profile
Hard working, coachable, willing and able to play where needed, driven student athlete.
I started playing lacrosse in fifth grade and immediately fell in love with playing :). I originally played midfield before being asked to switch positions to defense at the beginning of 7th grade, and I continued playing defense until the beginning of my freshman year, when I was then asked to play midfield again. As a freshman on the varsity lacrosse team, I had 28 goals, 13 assists, 57 draw controls, 46 ground balls, and 15 caused turn overs or take aways. After finishing our season with a state championship victory, I was selected as a 2019 NCISAA All-Conference and All-State honoree. In addition to that, I was also selected for the Maverik National Team (NC), and played in the 2019 U.S Lacrosse National Tournament (North Carolina team). I am equally comfortable in both hands, and feel as if I am generally well-rounded in all aspects of the game. At school, I participate in many clubs including Spirit Club, Girl Up (tries to address some of the inequalities and challenges facing young women), and Blessings in a Backpack (members make and serve food packages to underprivileged children). This year, I am taking AP History and AP Biology, as well as honors Spanish and Math. This past year, I was inducted into the National Spanish Honors Society, and for the last two years I have been on the Headmaster's List. Outside of school and lacrosse, I love spending time with my friends and family, going on hikes with my twin sister, and swimming with our dogs :).
