Mia Riccitelli
Recruit Profile
Determined, fast, coachable, a versatile player who can perform well anywhere on the field - a multi-sport athlete with excellent field vision and high lax IQ. High honor roll student.
I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade with Wilson Youth Lacrosse and feel in love with the sport instantly. I am an original member (player #12) of the Phantastix West 2023 team coached by Claudia Ovchinnikoff, since the fall of 2018. I am one of my team's leading scorer as a midfielder, but I can play attack and defense if needed. Along with scoring goals, I have great vision on the field where I can assist my teammates offensively and defensively. I am comfortable using both hands to dodge, feed, and score. I am a student athlete at Wilson High School in West Lawn, PA. Unfortunately, my high school freshman lacrosse season got canceled due to covid. In March 2020, I was slated to play on varsity as a freshman. Prior to the shutdown, I played in my team's only varsity scrimmage where I scored one goal. Along with lacrosse, I have been playing field hockey since 5th grade. My freshman year (2019), I was on the my team's playoff roster for post season play. Our team went on to win the PIAA Class 3A State field hockey title for the first time in school history. This past fall in 10th grade, I played varsity for my field hockey team scoring 3 goals and 7 points. I am a straight A/High Honor Roll student. My GPA at the end of my 9th grade year was a 3.98; ranked 40/495. In school, I participate in Interact Club (community service based) and Mini-thon Club (raise money for Penn State THON). Each year in December, I help package holiday meals at our local foodbank. I enjoy helping out with my school's local youth field hockey league and plan to help with youth lacrosse spring of 2021. As I enter my junior year of HS, I am a varsity starter at forward for my very competitive field hockey team. In school, I am taking 2 AP classes along with 2 Honors. This year I am a captain for our school's Mini-Thon and I served as a member of our Link Crew where I was involved in all freshman orientation activities prior to the first day of school. My sophomore year end GPA was a 3.99 and my class rank is now 26 out of 505 students.

Mia is a fast, versatile athlete who is committed to her athletics and her skills. Mia has the ability to be a scoring threat or play maker on the attacking side of the field. Mia is tenacious and has the desire to compete. I've worked with Mia at off season trainings and she is a very coachable young lady who has big goals and will work hard to reach them.

Mia is a very talented young lady who puts her heart into everything she sets out to do. As her field hockey coach I am always impressed with her speed and fitness level. She has great stick work that allows her to create many offensive opportunities.
