Recruit Profile
Consistently controls faceoffs with speed, strength & height. SNG faceoffs. Imposing figure at the stripe. Midfielder, leader, passer, unselfish, and scoring threat. Strong shooter. Aggressive defense. Multi-sport athlete. 3.69 GPA
I've been playing lacrosse as a face-off/midfielder on my town team since I was seven. I've played summer travel lacrosse for the past seven summers for a few different clubs (BBL for the past several seasons and, before that, Riot, and Trilogy.). In the summer of 2020, I took just about every faceoff in every game. I train with BBL's faceoff coaches as well as with Faceoff Academy and was part of the Trilogy ICE program at UMASS.
Winning faceoffs and controlling possession is critical, but I wouldn't consider myself a complete player if that was all I did. I believe that the faceoff/midfielder needs to be a true midfielder after the faceoff. The faceoff/midfielder needs to be a scoring threat, a passer and a strong defender who covers both sides of the field. The NCAA mandating SNG for faceoffs has changed the position. I've found my height, speed, and strength are advantages in controlling faceoffs from SNG.
Additionally, I am a goalkeeper on my high school varsity soccer team and played travel club soccer for several years.
All of my academic classes have been AP or honors level. I have completed AP US History, AP Psychology, AP English Composition, and AP Art History (I also acted as a TA in AP Art History after I completed the class). In my senior year, I will be taking AP English Literature, AP Government and Politics, and Studio Art which will allow me to submit a portfolio for AP consideration. Coming out of my sophomore year, I transferred from Columbia High School in Maplewood to St. Joseph Regional in Montvale. I met SJR coaches through BBL and was recruited for SJR. I had a very good academic and athletic year at SJR where we play in New Jersey's most competitive lacrosse division. In the fall I'll play goalkeeper for the SJR soccer team.
Outside of school, I have completed first aid and CPR training with AED and have a Red Cross Lifeguard certification. In the summer of 2020 and 2021, I worked at the Maplewood Pool as a lifeguard.
Sports have been great. I love being part of a team. I've made so many close friends and had so many great coaches and experiences. I love the practices, the workouts, and the games. I'm looking forward to continuing to grow as a player in college.
