Left handed goalie & ambidextrous on clears = many opportunites to get possession of the ball while having a form of deception. Coachable and quick learner.
Very active goalie inside and outside of the crease and great communicator with high Lax IQ. After I am scored on, I dismiss the shot because I realize that I can't take that goal back. Instead of pouting after a goal, I do the action I would have done to save the shot and stay ready for the next upcoming shot. Whether getting hit by an 80mph lacrosse ball or losing a game, I don't dwell on the negatives. I'm always looking ahead to improve my game and my character, and the same is true about my academics.

Mollie Stevens
Mikayla is one of the most skilled and athletic goalies I have ever coached. She is extremely focused and hard working. Mikayla challenges her teammates every practice to be better finishers. She always asks questions, puts in the extra work attending camps/clinics, and is dedicated to being the best she can be every day. Mikayla is not only a great goalie, she is a great person. The first time I met her I was amazed by her bright personality and competitive edge.

I have had the pleasure of coaching Mikayla for both club and on our Varsity high school program at Foothill. She is an outstanding goalie that has earned a starting position for our 2021 season. Mikayla is very dedicated to perfecting her craft. She has attended various goalie clinics and puts in several hours of work a week outside of practices. She is truly a student of the game and lives the position. She takes pride in her fundamentals. She has great hand speed and uses her athleticism to her advantage inside and outside of the crease.
