Tinsman was a two-year member of the Thomas women's lacrosse program from 2012-2014 and three-year member of the field hockey team from 2011-2014.

In lacrosse, Tinsman played in 30 games in her career, scoring 90 goals and adding 20 assists for 110 points. She also finished with 43 ground balls and an 80.5% (161-200) shot-on-goal percentage.

Tinsman started in all 51 games in her field hockey career, tallying 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points.
