My name is Nick Mort and I am 2022 goalie for the Great Valley High School and Black Bear lacrosse organization. First and foremost, I love playing lacrosse! I began playing lacrosse in 2nd grade. I gravitated to the position of Goalie. I began playing summer lacrosse in 3rd grade for the PA expansion team of RoughRiders. I played for RR for 6 years and played a grade level above for 4 of those years.
I then changed summer teams and began playing for Black Bear Lacrosse. I have played with Black Bear for 3+ years. I decided to change teams due to a restructuring at RR and felt that Black Bear would provide me with better coaching, since all of the coaches are either HS or College coaches, and felt Black Bear would provide a better fit and opportunity for me. Lacrosse has always been the sport I play year round, but I am also a Varsity Football player and a Varsity Wrestler. Playing multiple sports has made me a well rounded athlete and has taught me many different coaching strategies. I am also a volunteer coach for the local youth program. I started out playing lacrosse with this program and enjoy giving back my time to the younger kids.

I am a very capable student. I enjoy History, English and the Sciences most in school. I plan to major in Business or Political Science in college.
