Nicholas Mathura
Recruit Profile
My name is Nicholas Mathura and I am a midfielder/attack at Sun Prairie High in the class of 2021. I am a hard working and coachable player involved in AVID.
I started playing lacrosse my freshman year in high school. It started off as an off-season sport to stay in shape for football and basketball, but progressed into a passion. From then on I geared my attention towards lacrosse until it became my primary sport. During the winters I lifted weights and kept my stick in my hand. In school I was a DECA member and volunteered all over in my community. My sophomore year I earned a spot on varsity as a defensive midfielder, and was voted the most improved defensive player. The fall of my junior year I discovered True Lacrosse Wisconsin. After talking with coach Mike I was able to practice with the True team. Because of COVID I wasnt able to play my junior season, but I was, however, able to play summer lacrosse with True, and I currently plan to attend all of our tournaments. I am interested in majoring in Mechanical Engineering and am going to be taking AP Calculus AB, AP Physics and Spanish four. I am volunteering at my local food pantry as well as other local programs. I have been an AVID student since the eight grade, so I am able to help out at the elementary and middle schools. AVID is a college readiness program for first generation high school students looking to attend college. AVID shows students the importance of attending college and demonstrates how to be successful in attendance.

Even though Nick is fairly new to the game, he shows a tremendous amount of potential. He is incredibly hard working, motivated and determined to improve his game. Nick’s athleticism, work ethic and desire to improve his game make him a player any college coach should consider for their program.
