He compiled a 23-19 overall record with Mizzou and was named as the 2019 Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (ULMC) Coach of the Year. Anagnostis took over a program that was coming off consecutive losing seasons and helped to guide the team to a division title in 2017.

Anagnostis' Tiger teams produced 25 All-ULMC selections, one ULMC Offensive Player of the Year, one ULMC Defensive Player of the Year, three All-Americans and five Academic All-Americans.

He also was an assistant coach for Greece's Men's National Team during the 2018 FIL Men's World Lacrosse Championships in Netanya, Israel where the team achieved a top-20 ranking in the world. Anagnostis was set to be on the staff once again for the 2020 European Men's Championships in Poland, before that event was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Prior to his time at Missouri, Anagnostis spent six years coaching in the high school ranks. He was an assistant coach at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina under former Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player Brian Myers. As head coach of the junior varsity team, he led his team to an undefeated season going 11-0-2. As an assistant with the varsity squad, he helped the team go 12-9 and reach the final 16 in the North Carolina state tournament.

At only 19 years old in 2010, he was the runner-up for assistant coach of the year in northern Florida after helping coach Lincoln High School to a district championship and state quarterfinal appearance after the team went 0-13 two seasons prior.

Anagnostis also has experience coaching at the post-collegiate level, coaching a men's team in Tallahassee, Florida for six years. He has also coached youth programs alongside former Florida State Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Bill Harkins and PLL defenseman and four-time All-American Ryan Flanagan, winning several youth tournament championships.

After transferring from Florida State University after three years, Anagnostis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
