Prior to his time at Missouri, Anagnostis spent six years coaching in the high school ranks. He was an assistant coach at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina under former Major League Lacrosse (MLL) player Brian Myers. At only 19 years old in 2010, he was the runner-up for assistant coach of the year in northern Florida after helping coach Lincoln High School to a district championship and state quarterfinal appearance after the team went 0-13 two seasons prior.

Anagnostis also has experience coaching at the post-collegiate level, coaching a men's team in Tallahassee, Florida for six years. He has also coached youth programs alongside former Florida State Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Bill Harkins and PLL defenseman and four-time All-American Ryan Flanagan, winning several youth tournament championships.
