Nicole Castaldo
Recruit Profile
Coachable, team player with strong Lax IQ and commitment - confident, determined and aggressive multi-sport athlete.
I started playing lacrosse at 6 years old. Starting at such a young age, lacrosse was my gateway into not only learning lacrosse skills, but also learning how to be a leader and work hard. As I played youth lacrosse, my coaches began to recognize my speediness and gave me the nickname "gazelle" since I was able to spirnt up the field with such ease, as well as having quick feet and dodging skills that helped me get through the defensemen to the goal. In 8th grade, I made the JV team and midseason I was pulled up to Varsity. In 9th grade, I got player of the month for my club team, 91 Tristate. In 10th grade, I was supposed to start on my HS team as a midfielder, but sadly our season was cancelled due to covid. I was able to play volleyball in the fall, though, and was pulled up to the Varsity team. As a sophomore I also won an academic award, Engineering Student of the Year. I ended sophomore year with an unweighted 4.0 GPA, taking mostly all honors and AP classes (AP World History, Algebra 2H, Chemistry H, Italian 4H, Engineering and English 2R). This year, as a junior, I hope to maintain that average as I am taking all honors and AP classes (AP US History, AP Language and Composition, AP Chemistry, Pre-Calc H, Italian 5H, and Engineering).
