Owen Estee
Recruit Profile
Very coachable player with high IQ and a true love of the game. I work hard and play equally smart and aggressive.
I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade and I immediately fell in love with the sport. Lacrosse allows me to be both competitive and creative. I am a team captain for my club team, ADVNC East Bay Gold but even more important to me was being voted as a captain of my high school team as a junior by all of my teammates.
For both my Freshman and Sophomore seasons, I led my high school Varsity team in assists and goals. I am a strong dodger and I have a good field of vision. I make plays when the opportunity presents itself. I have become much better and creating these opportunities for myself too. During Covid in Califonria, we were quarantined for almost a full year. My teammmate and myself got together after thinking through how we could help other kids during the pandemic. The result was "Lacrosse Against Hunger." We started the program to raise money for food-insecure kids in Northern California. We safely gave lacrosse lessons to kids outside during the pandemic in exchange for a donation to White Pony Express. We are continue the program and to date we have raised close to $10,000 for food-insecure families in Norther California. Lacrosse Against Hunger has been featured in the New York Times, The Chronicle and The Washington Post.
