Coachable, team player with strong Lax IQ - disciplined, determined and aggressive multi-sport athlete. High Academic Student, Athlete and LEADER
Owen is a competitive leader that has played and coached multiple sports : Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Wrestling, Swimming, Football, Lacrosse. He is the oldest of 4 boys and sports were always a part of life.
Generally stronger and more athletic than my peers. Owen picks up skills quickly.
Owen decided to 'play local' at Unionville HS. Unionville has excellent coaching with Steve Holmes (UVA) and Ian Allender (PSU). Unionville is a top public school in PA academically with an amazing campus and sports history. Coach Holmes has a goal to win a PA State Championship and we want to achieve that goal with him. This year Unionville made PA state playoffs for the first time in school history. As a freshman, Owen was the Top JV goal scorer with +3 goals per game and a few game winners. Owen also played with the Varsity squad and had 2 Varsity goals. Sophomore season he was full Varsity starter. Played 7 games and had 14 points. (3 goals against rival Kennett.) Missed part of season with a wrist fracture. Came back and played in PA State tournament scoring as a Midfielder.
Owen has played club lacrosse, year round for the last 6 years: Brotherly Love 2024 (1 year). Fusion 2024 (Current 5+ years Field and Box) and recently play with Duke's Elite 2024 Coached by Rob and Jack Forster. At Duke's, he plays a college style offense and many of my teammates are Top 100 lacrosse players. My lacrosse IQ and experience continue to develop at every Fusion and Duke's practice. I am a student of the game.
I also excel academically, taking a full time course load of Honors and AP courses to challenge myself. Many of my peers are great players or great students. I am a Student Athlete. (3.9 GPA)

Steve Holmes
Owen was a starting midfielder for Unionville Varsity this year, missing a number of games due to wrist injury which he has since recovered. He was a first line midfielder for our team that made states and district 3 semi finals. He projects to be a starting LH attackman next year for us, which is his most natural position. He is strong and compact. Bull dodger to the cage with an explosive first step. He's a great cutter and has good hands. As far as style of play he would be a Matt Rambo type build and style.

I have coached Owen at the youth and high school levels. Owen has always been a highly competitive team player. In recent years I have seen him mature into a team leader and highly skilled athlete. Owen's coaches and peers respect his knowledge of the game, work ethic and integrity. His desire to win and relentless hustle make him a pleasure to coach.
