At Cornell
He was a part of the staff that helped the Big Red get off to a 5-0 start in 2020 before the season came to a screeching halt due to COVID-19. Cornell ended the season ranked No. 2 in both the Inside Lacrosse/Maverik Media Poll and USILA Coaches' Poll, marking the team's highest USILA ranking since 2014.

Ciferri’s family has a long-rooted history within the Cornell men’s and women’s lacrosse programs. With his mother, Lyn Reitenbach ’85, and two uncles, Keith Reitenbach ’78 and Bruce Reitenbach ’82, having played lacrosse at Cornell, Ciferri is very familiar with what Big Red lacrosse is all about.

Prior to Cornell

Ciferri comes to the Big Red from SUNY Cortland, where he served as the assistant men’s lacrosse coach for the 2018-19 season. During his time there, he was responsible for coordinating the offense, clear, and ride, directing all recruiting activities, and managing the team’s communication and social media efforts.

Ciferri also spent a season as an assistant coach at Binghamton, coaching the team during the 2017-18 campaign. While there, Ciferri coordinated the face-off unit and assisted with the defense. He also played a pivotal role in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, in addition to organizing camps, managing all film responsibilities, and running the team’s social media pages.

As a student-athlete, Ciferri was a vital member of the lacrosse team at Syracuse, helping the team win the Big East Championship and advance to the NCAA National Championship game in 2013. He also guided the Orange to back-to-back ACC Championships in 2014-15 and 2015-16 and was elected team captain for the 2016-17 season.

A native of Ithaca, New York, Ciferri graduated from Syracuse in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in sport management.
