Hello, my name is Patrick Keenan. I like to play a fundamentally sound aggressive style of defense. I view every ground ball as an opportunity to grind and push transition but maintaining possession when the transition game is not there. While positionally sound I am an aggressive defender who loves to force turnovers, knockdown passes, and disrupt the offense.

One on one is important, but my main objective in lacrosse is to play great team defense. I take a great deal of pride in communication, man-down, sliding, rotation, recovering, etc. Together we all stronger than individuals!

I am a three-sport athlete playing football, wrestling, and lacrosse. To focus on academics and indoor lacrosse I may not wrestle throughout high school, but will always welcome the opportunity to compete.

I am proud of being selected to be the captain of the 2023 Penn Lax All-Stars team (box lacrosse) by my teammates. I took the leadership responsibility seriously and understood the captain’s main job starts in team preparation not just in the game.

My dad, Kevin Keenan, who played at Penn State and the MLL gave me a stick when I was one and I have never looked back since then. I started township league lacrosse when I was in kindergarten and have enjoyed every step of the journey since. Making new friends, meeting new people, and having the opportunity to complete will continue to drive my love for lacrosse for the rest of my life.

Maintain a balance between lacrosse and my personal life comes easy to me. I work for the Summer Rec Program at the YMCA and help kids stay active during the summer. I am constantly busy with school work managing 4.35 GPA for freshman year and above a 90 average this year. I was awarded the Malvern Prep St. Augustine Award Winner and Coaches Award for the Freshman Football Team. I was upset to not have my freshman season for lacrosse but can’t wait for my sophomore season for lacrosse this year. I am looking forward to someday playing at the collegiate level and coaching on the sidelines in the future teaching kids how to play lacrosse and expand their understanding of the game.
