Peter Rosaschi enters his sixth year as head coach of the Franciscan men’s lacrosse team.

In 2017, the Barons set a program record with seven wins, finishing the year at 7-8 and earning the No. 3 seed in the inaugural AMCC showcase. The Barons went 2-2 in the AMCC. Franciscan set a program record with 199 goals and 84 assists for 283 points. Following the year, Jonas McCaig and Joe Lomady were named as the first two all-conference honors for the Barons.

The Barons finished the year 20th in the nation for ground balls per game in 2016 (38.33) and McCaig ranked fifth in goals per game (3.91) and 12th in points per game (5.00). The Barons collected 112 goals on the year and 57 assists. Franciscan finished the year 3-8.

The 2015 season saw freshman Mark Hanlon finish the year 10th in Division III for faceoff winning percentage with an impressive 67% winning percentage (138-206).

Rosaschi brings with him 32 years of lacrosse experience. As a player in college, he was selected as captain in his senior year at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. For the past 11 years, Rosaschi has served as a coach for Pawling Lacrosse in New York, a town program consisting of travel teams from kindergarten to high school level. For the past three years, he has also served as the president of Pawling Lacrosse.

Rosaschi graduated with a BS from the USMMA at Kings Point and an MBA in finance from Long Island University. Rosaschi, his wife, Beth, and their six children reside in Steubenville.
