Rachel Nichols
Recruit Profile
Hard-working, well-rounded, and enthusiastic player with a strong lax IQ, great leadership skills, and academic drive.
I started playing lacrosse when I was 10. By the time I was 12, I was tired of just my brother playing club lacrosse, so I begged my parents to let me play too! I've played club ever since. I made my varsity high school team my Freshman year, and I started in every game at midfield. Sophomore year I was the second leading scorer on my team, and I made first team all conference and second team all county that year. For club, I usually play high attack. I am a well-rounded player because of my field awareness, aggressiveness on defense, stick skills, and ability to cut quickly. I realize that I have a lot to learn and improve on, so I'm working hard every day to become a better player.
I am very academically driven, so I spend lots of time working on school. I love science and I am hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. This year (my junior year) was my first year taking ALL college classes, and it was definitely challenging but I managed straight A's. In addition, I am in the National Honor Society and National Math Honor Society, and I lead Fellowship of Christian Athletes at my school. Outside of school, I love rigorous hikes, hunting, and fishing.
