I started playing lacrosse going into middle school. In high school I started out on the JV team but continued to work my hardest, and was evidently bumped up onto varsity at the end of the season, playing with varsity for three weeks. When leaving JV, I also received the MVP award. I am comfortable going nondominant, working with my goalies in a clear. And I have built good, trusting, relationships with my whole team and defenders especially. In school I am in the International Bachelorette program (IB), and have taken challenging IB classes all of freshman year. I have worked with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) on a team to help raise money for the charity. This year I also joined the Congress Speech and Debate team at my high school, and have gone to a few tournaments over the fall for it. In my spare time once a week I try to help out at my church's shelter for the homeless in which we provide dinner, breakfast, and a bed for the night .In my neighbor hood I helped create the Greenway Gazette which is a newspaper run by the us, the kids of the neighbor hood, where we write, print, and deliver the newspaper.
