Raleigh Leith
Recruit Profile
Work hard. Learn. Outplay, outsmart, outwork the others. Be a leader. Be the best.
My name is Raleigh Leith. I am a 6'5", 180-pound, class of 2024, left-handed pole. As a freshman at North East HS (Cecil), I started on varsity at LSM and close defense, and I scored my first high school goal while subbing in at attack. As a sophomore, I started at close defense on varsity at Rising Sun HS and competed in the Maryland regional finals.
I played spring lacrosse in Florida and returned to Maryland to play a second spring season each year from the time I was seven until high school. My father had to go to Clearwater every Spring as he works for the Phillies. We would be there for 10 weeks that was at the same time as the local lacrosse youth season. I would get a full season in down there learning a different style of lacrosse than they play in Maryland. When I came back up, I would get my full spring youth season in in Maryland. I take pride in learning the game and have learned from several different styles of coaches which has made my game that much better. I do everything I can to learn from my coaches and teammates so I can be the best possible player and person. I hit the wall and practice my stickwork and footwork because every day is another opportunity to improve.
I take pride in my performance off the field as well. I am taking honors classes, am consistently on the distinguished honor roll, have a GPA of 4.4, and received the Minds in Motion Scholar-Athlete Award. I also believe it is important to give back to my community and have volunteered over 300 hours since I started keeping track in sixth grade.
I played both lacrosse and baseball each spring until I was twelve and then had to choose just one. I chose lacrosse because it is exciting, challenging, and the best sport on Earth. I also played a few seasons of basketball.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Raleigh is an extremely dedicated student athlete that I've been able to coach at both the club and high school levels. On our club team Raleigh has played up a few grades and has taken on players much older than himself. On our high school team he earned an ample amount of playtime on varsity and even started at times. He is also an excellent student in the classroom and makes his grades a top priority. Raleigh would be a great addition to any college program.
