Reilly Traynor
Recruit Profile
Gritty, aggressive, tenacious defender. Versatile two-way player. Excellent stick skills/field IQ. Explosive, agile, hard-working. Well-rounded 3-sport student-athlete. 2021/UA Senior-Games, 5th year-Under-Armour All-American-selection, 2nd-year selection All-Group/Conference/Division Teams. **2019 US-Lacrosse USA-Select-U17-National Team
I have been playing lacrosse since 3rd grade. I am an aggressive natural defender but comfortable all over the field. I enjoy defense the most. For club I play defense, and for my high school I play wherever my coach needs me (usually midfield). I am dominant in 1v1 situations, strong in transition, aggressive on the circle and have a very fast, accurate shot.
I am a disciplined student and academics are my first priority. I have kept a 4.3 GPA with honors/high honors through high school while playing 3 varsity sports. My course load is all honors/AP and I am a 3 year recipient of the RBC Academic Excellence Award. I am a member of the Academic Team at RBC and was a National Latin Exam merit recipient in 10th grade (only 2 sophomores recognized). I was presented with the Academic Top 10 award at Graduation. In addition to lacrosse, I play varsity field hockey (3 year varsity starter) and run varsity winter track.
I am active in school activities with leadership positions including co-editor of Signpost newspaper; Co-President of Latin Club, VP of Academic Team, and member of the Garden Club. I have volunteered at our Ronald McDonald House for the past 5 years, collect donations for a local senior center and help disabled kids go to the beach. I work part time in a juice bar and also lacrosse coach assistant for BBL.
I have verbally committed to play lacrosse at Duke University and I am honored and very grateful to be part of this amazing program.

I am so impressed by Reilly's overall athleticism. She is a tenacious defender with great stick skills and an impressive amount of speed. She is extremely coach-able and always wanting to learn. With an above average lacrosse IQ- Reilly understands so many advanced concepts of the sport.
Bobby Smith
I have been Reilly's sports performance coach for over two years. Reilly definitely stands out as a very hard worker and a dedicated athlete. She is explosive, changes directions well, and displays great mechanics, setting her up to be a very successful athlete at the next level.
Megan Douty
Reilly is a well-balanced defender. She understands positioning on and off-ball and can direct others properly. Reilly is fast and can change directions quickly, making her 1 on1 defense hard to beat.
