Richard Wallach joined the Trojan coaching staff in early August, 2021, and serves as an offensive coordinator and recruiter.

Prior to arriving in the Electric City, Wallach served as an assistant coach at the University of Alabama at Huntsville for six seasons and helped build the Chargers into a force to be reckoned with. UAH won the Gulf South Conference’s regular season title in 2017 and won back-to-back GSC Tournament Championships in 2019 and 2021(there was no GSC Tournament in 2020 due to Covid).

The Chargers posted a 74-22 (.771) record over the six-year span.

When he wasn’t roaming the UAH sidelines, Wallach served as the head boys and girls golf coach at Grissom High School (2017-2021), while also serving as an assistant varsity coach and head freshman boys basketball coach for the Tigers during the 2017-18 campaign. Wallach also led the Grissom JV softball squad and was an assistant varsity coach in 2016-17.

In addition to AU and UAH, the Bucks County, Pa., native also has collegiate basketball coaching experience, having served as an assistant women's coach and Rutgers-Camden (2010-2013), Drew University (2008-2010) and at Washington College (2005-2008).

A former collegiate athlete, Wallach lettered in basketball, golf and cross country at Centenary College.

Wallach is also a Career Prep teacher at Westside High School in Anderson.

Wallach graduated with a bachelor of arts from Rutgers in 2013 and gained his teaching certificate from Rutgers the following year.
