Ritchie Assini returns for her fourth season as an assistant coach with the Union College women's lacrosse team in 2020.

Assini spent two years with the Dutchwomen in 2016-17 before returning to the sidelines in 2019. She works primarily with the team's defensive unit and midfielders.

Assini graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. She spent three seasons on the Division I lacrosse team before a career-ending injury during her senior season.

Assini was a two-time US Lacrosse All-American and US Lacrosse All-American Scholar-Athlete at Niskayuna. She also was an ESPN HS Top 25 Defensive Midfielder, four-time First Team Suburban Council All-Star, three-time First-Team Times Union Selection and won three sectional titles in lacrosse. Assini also was a three-time All-Conference Team in field hockey. She was a two-time captain for both lacrosse and field hockey.

Active on the local club lacrosse scene, Assini previously coached for the Albany Power Lacrosse Club for three seasons.

Outside of lacrosse, Assini is the Associate Director of Annual Giving at Union.
