Rocky Batty begins his third season as the head men's lacrosse coach at Babson College in 2020.

He was hired as the 14th head coach in program history on July 10, 2018.

After going 8-9 overall in his inaugural spring in Babson Park, Batty guided the Beavers to early-season victories over Bates and Endicott in 2020 before the campaign was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well respected and with over 25 years of head coaching experience, Batty comes to Babson after serving as an assistant coach at Division I Boston University in 2018. He was involved in all facets of the program for the Terriers, who reached the Patriot League Tournament semifinals following an upset of nationally-ranked Bucknell University.

Prior to his stint at Boston University, Batty spent 10 seasons as the boys' varsity lacrosse coach at Wellesley High School. He posted an overall record of 148-63 while leading the Raiders to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association (MIAA) State Tournament 10 straight times between 2008-17.

Batty guided Wellesley to an undefeated regular season in 2011 and the Eastern Massachusetts Division II championship game in 2012. During his tenure, over 40 players went on to play lacrosse in the collegiate ranks.

A 1991 graduate of Brown University, Batty played defense for the Bears before beginning his coaching career at Brookline High School in 1992, where he served as the boys' varsity head coach from 1999-2006.
