Rocky "Racquel" McCauley
Recruit Profile
I have great game IQ in sports. I am coachable, a strong teammate, reliable, aggressive and fun. I have proven leadership, 4.2 GPA, MENSA Membership and I am highly ambitious.
I started playing lacrosse in the 4th grade and elite lacrosse in the 6th grade. From the beginning, I was a leading scorer, assister and took the draw. In addition to regular practice, I have always practiced on my own. I get at least 5 additional workouts in weekly: shooting, dodging, running and weight lifting. I was a gymnast, which gives me preciseness in my workouts, real control over my body and allows me to do things on the field that other kids can't. Also, I ran track and pole vaulted which helped my speed and strength. I also play volleyball.
My lacrosse shot speed is consistently in the high 60-'s and low 70's s and my fastest shot was clocked at 74mph at the Power 5 lax ID camp. My left-hand shot is in the low 60's mph. I have also developed a fun behind-the-back dodge which allows me to fake right and then shoot lefty.
My freshman year in high school, I made The Kinkaid School Varsity Lacrosse Team and started every game. I also scored a goal in every game. Plus, I took draws, had assists and played defense. My Sophomore year my coach told me she wanted me on the field in any capacity.
My stats from Sophomore year:
31 goals
5 assists
28 draw controls
12 caused turnovers
11 ground balls
I am very comfortable with both my right-hand and left. About 40% of the goals I score are lefty. I play aggressively and with speed. I also see the game unfold in front of me and as a result, I can aid my teammates and help them succeed. When I step on the field, I am there to win in whatever capacity my coach and team needs.
I am very coachable. Whenever I am taught a play, a skill or an adjustment, I keep working on it and internalize it, until it becomes second nature.
I am taking HONORS classes and have received all A's my freshman and Sophomore year and so far as a Junior too. Currently, I have a 4.2+ GPA. Also, I am a member of Mensa International, the high IQ society.
I am part of NCL (National Charity League), a very active mother-daughter volunteer organization in my community. In addition, I raised money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, UNICEF and am currently a member of the UNICEF and Business Clubs at school.
