Rowan Walsh
Recruit Profile
I am a multi-sport athlete (lax and volleyball), a team player, coachable, devoted, interested in marine biology and environmental sciences and straight A honor roll student.
I started playing lacrosse when I was in 1st grade with the local rec league. I loved the sport so much that I started playing club 6 yrs ago. I played midfield and defense but found that defense is my passion. I throw and catch comfortably with both hands and even though I prefer to play defense, I have a hard and accurate shot on goal. I also play high school and club volleyball where I stay on for the full rotation and shift to outside. I have volunteered to help coach younger volleyball players on a rec league. I have taken all honors and AP classes in High School and am a straight A student with a weighted GPA of 4.46 putting me 14th in my class of 309 students. I was accepted to the National Honor Society where I am the Chair of the Environmental and Wellness Committee. I am active in my church as well as it's youth group. I was chosen twice by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to volunteer my time for a Fall and Spring trip that were amazing and so much fun. I have wanted to be a marine biologist since I was young and am looking to major in Marine Sciences and Environmental Conservation.
