Ruby Hale
Recruit Profile
Quick, coachable, and devoted with good leadership skills - a hardworking, multi-sport athlete and a competitive mindset.
I started playing on a community league in 5th grade on a team called Sewickley Valley Lacrosse. I was designated as an attacker when I started playing club in 6th grade. I played midfield for my middle school team. My most preferred position is low attack, behind the crease. However, I am able to play all positions except goalie and have experience in all of them. I am the fastest girl out of 35 on my high school team. This season I have been able to play two scrimmages to date. The first scrimmage, we won 5-4, and I scored 2 of the 5 goals and assisted 2 others. The second scrimmage, we played the 2019 WPIAL champions and beat them 2-1; I scored both goals that game.
As a freshman, I:
1. Earned a varsity letter on a high school team that went 15-1 in the regular season.
2. Scored four goals against top-ranked Sewickley Academy, winning 14-11.
3. Scored three goals in the WPIAL semi-final playoff game against eventual WPIAL champion Hampton, including the tying goal, unassisted, with under one minute left in the game.
4. Was awarded Offensive Player of the Year for both JV and Varsity on my high school team.
5. Had 39 total goals scored during high school freshman season with an additional 17 during freshman club season.
Lastly, I play middle and right side hitter for my high school volleyball team. Started playing the sport as a freshman.
I have studied ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical and contemporary dance from age 3 until age 14. Competitive dance team for one year, age 13. Studied with three dance studios: Carol Leone in Moon Township, PA, PA Academy of Dance in Sewickley, PA and Reach for the Stars in Ambridge, PA.
I studied gymnastics for two years at ages 8 and 9 at Carol Leone and Perfect 10.
