The Montevallo men's lacrosse program has named Ryan Burke to its coaching staff as an assistant.

Ryan Burke comes to Montevallo from Bellarmine University, where he served as the volunteer assistant coach. At Bellarmine, Burke was tasked with managing player's grades and film, assisting in recruiting, development of the faceoff unit and assisting with the defense.

Prior to Bellarmine, Burke spent time as the head coach at Spalding University, while also serving as a head coach and recruiting coordinator for L4 Lacrosse.

In 2019, Burke filled the role of program director and national coach for SweetLax Florida where he oversaw the startup of a Tampa Regional program, organized coaches, practices, and tryouts while assisting in registration and marketing. He was a national coach for a top 10 team in the nation and No. 1 in the south region during this time.

Before his time with SweetLax, Burke spent five years as an assistant coach at Saint Leo where he was in charge of recruiting and was the offensive coordinator. Burke helped Saint Leo to a National Championship Game appearance in 2018. During his time at Saint Leo Burke helped mentor three USILA All-America selections, including the NCAA statistical leader in shooting percentage in 2017 and 2018.

Burke earned his Master's Degree in Sports Business from Saint Leo University in 2017.

Burke graduated in 2014 from Saint Leo with his degree in Criminal Justice.
