Ryder has been playing defense since he first picked up a lacrosse stick in 3rd grade. He is a multi-sport athlete (lacrosse, rugby and soccer) who also excels in the classroom at Christian Brothers Academy, one of only 50 private high schools in the US designated as a National Blue Ribbon Exemplary High Performing School. Throughout his time playing lacrosse, Ryder has excelled at playing close defense. He uses his quick feet, a high lacrosse IQ and determination to shadow the toughest, largest opposing attack. He is very tough on ground balls and excellent stick work which aides his ability to quickly begin the transition game on turnovers and clears. Outside of school and sports, Ryder enjoys participating in extracurricular activities such as the Model UN, the National Junior Honor Society, the School Ambassador program and SADD, along with performing community service with local organizations and non-profits.
