I've had the privilege to coach Sammy this year at Providence. Sammy is a multi sport athlete and he puts in the work needed to improve. He is very coachable and takes direction well. He is liked by his teammates and he's always one to stay after practice sometimes for hours to hone his skills. Sammy was voted to all conference this season by the conference coaches. He also was on the all section second team. This is a tremendous honor given the talent and eventual state champion team came from our section. He was up against many D1 level players for the all section team. Sammy had one game with five goals and many four goal games as well as 1-3 goal games. He was consistently in the top 15-20 scorers in the state. The most impressive stat to me as his coach was that he also had a very high amount of assists. He made his teammates better and dished to them many times. Sammy has my highest endorsement for whatever level he chooses to play in college.
