Recruit Profile
Quintessential student athlete with very high lacrosse IQ and fast feet. Versatile and focused, and 100% driven on and off the field. All about team. High Academic scholar, 3.92 GPA.
I have been playing lacrosse since 2nd grade. My first coach was my most impactful, and led me to choose lacrosse over baseball because of his coaching style and encouragement. I began club lax at age 10 and haven't looked back since! It's a sport I love, and it has helped me to make life long friends in the three new States I have moved to (CT, MA, MN). I am a close defender and pride myself on being a very smart player with a high lax IQ, strong fundamentals, quick feet, and aggressiveness to win the ball. I am student athlete and give it my all on and off the field (High Honors Student with 3.92 GPA). I play varsity for my high school team, and I am also on True National and True Minnesota AAA club teams. I have also been asked to play for Team 36 National, and Team UNRL 2022 National this summer.
Off the field, I am very involved in community service activities. In fact, I was featured in US Lacrosse Magazine as an impact athlete for helping a village soccer team in Botswana, Africa get cleats and other soccer equipment. I also volunteer at True Lacrosse as a coach's assistant for lax clinics.
I am also involved in academic extracurricular activities, such as competitive math club, Business Professionals of America, Red Knights Volunteer Group, Link Crew Leader, National Honor Society, National Honor Society for Spanish

Sam is hardworking, dedicated, resilient, supportive, accountable, and caring. His grades are fantastic and most importantly, he cares about the work he is doing. On the field, Sam is a natural leader. He is a very good athlete that has shown improvement every single year I have known him. That is a testament to his hard work and dedication. As a lacrosse player, he has a very good stick in the clear, picks up tough ground balls, and has great vision. On the defensive side he is aggressive and is always in the offensive players hands. He is strong fundamentally and does not over-extend. He waits for the offensive player to make a mistake and capitalizes. Sam is only going to improve and there is no doubt in my mind he has what it takes, mentally, academically, and physically to be a top tier defenseman at the collegiate level.
