Sara Allison became the Whittier College Sports Information Graduate Assistant in August 2021.

Sara Allison came into the Whittier Athletic Department as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant in August 2021. Four months later, she was tabbed to lead the women's lacrosse program, leading the Poets to a encouraging season in her intercollegiate coaching debut.

The Poets won six games in Allison's debut season, with their signature victory coming over Chapman University in the season opener. The Poets were able to break a 10-10 tie thanks to then-junior Payton Climer's game-winning goal, giving Allison a victory to start her head coaching career off on. The Poets went on to show they could compete against teams from all across Division III, handling SCIAC foe Cal Lutheran as well as Southwestern University.

Prior to her arrival at Whittier, Allison had an accomplished four-year career at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., starring at goalie for the Mules. She became team captain ahead of her senior year in 2017. In the years since Muhlenberg, Sara worked as a Meeting Planner for Bristol Myers Squibb in Summit, N.J. from 2018-2021. She also completed an extended internship as an Event Coordinator for the U.S. Army All American Bowl after graduation in 2017. While at Muhlenberg, Sara worked for the Sports Information Department in many capacities, ultimately leading to her arrival at Whittier.

Education

Sara graduated from Muhlenberg in 2017 with a B.A. in Media & Communications accompanied by minors in English, Studio Art, and Documentary Story Making. Originally from Mountain Lakes, N.J., Sara now resides in Whittier.
