I have been playing lacrosse since first grade. When we were allowed to start playing with goalies I was the first to raise my hand and loved the challenge of a ball being thrown right at me. I played defense at first to learn the game and strengthen my lax IQ. In 7th grade, I started playing goalie full-time and have never looked back.

I balance lacrosse with year-round swimming (until this year) and field hockey. Swimming allowed me to set personal goals and compete with myself in which I made District cuts for 5 years and swam on the Varsity team. Field hockey challenged me as a left-handed field player in a right-handed sport. Today, I play goalie for my high school.

I pride myself on my communication skills with my defense players and players further up the field, my lacrosse IQ, long accurate clears and my coachability. My teammates are friends and mentors. It is something that I hope to find in college too.

I was the starting JV goalie my freshman year and made the Varsity team my sophomore year.

Currently, I am taking 4 AP classes and two honors classes, so as you can see, I like the challenge in the classroom also. I am a member of the National Honor Society and the National French Honor Society.

I am working at a Senior Living Center serving meals to residents. My job is more than just serving them meals, but I also keep them company, listen to their stories, and help them with little tasks. I am really enjoying this generation and look forward to working each of my shifts. In addition to working, I help coach the middle school Maryland United Lacrosse Club goalies.
